JOHN BENITZ

Founder, Producer

John is an international entrepreneur, producer and writer. John is a founder/co-founder, served as CEO and director of various businesses including: Odyssey Capital (private equity), Cordoba Capital, Hong Kong; Co-Founded with Courtney Solomon, Sweetpea Entertainment, Los Angeles. He also led the investment of various media companies including Myrice.com, China. John holds a MBA from Ivey School of Business (Ivey Scholar) and BA Economics, Western University, Canada; NYU Film School - Short Program, Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, New York.

Walter is a producer, screenwriter, notable casting director and acting teacher. Walter has worked on more than 40 films, including ‘The Secret in their Eyes’ (J.J. Campanella), ‘The Motorcycle Diaries’ (Walter Salles) and ‘Tetro’ (Francis Coppola). Walter holds a B.F.A. – School of Visual Arts, New York; Fellow, Scholarship, Actors Studio – New York.

Joaquina is involved in all aspects of development for film and televisión. A highly skilled writer and designer, she has created art campaigns for multiple projects. Joaquina has worked in various áreas of production, working on films such as; ‘Tetro’ (Francis Ford Coppola), ‘Imagining Argentina’(Christopher Hampton), ‘The Past’ (Hector Babenco), and ‘Los Marciano’ (Ana Katz).

Wildhorse is home to a ‘collective’ of valued relationships with producers, talented filmmakers, screenwriters, actors and publishers to bring great stories to screen. We work with both established voices and emerging talent.

SHADOWS ON THE HUDSON, a new drama Series based on a Novel by Nobel Prize winning author, Isaac Bashevis Singer, in association with Macmillan Entertainment.

LOS GAUCHOS WILD DAYS, an epic film set in 1870s Argentina during the end of an era and the rise of a new world. Called by a destiny they try to avoid, Los Gauchos wage war against the powers that banish them.

MONKEY PARADISE, a quirky comedy by Dylan McNeil. In what appears an architect’s dream job he meets the client from hell.

IN LAW, a thriller by film director-writer Miguel Cohan. A deadly duel within a family where there can be no winners.

CHAGALL, a drama following Marc Chagall and his years in America. A genius struggles to balance his art, his loved ones and the joys and conflicts of family life. Based on the book ‘Seven Years of Plenty’ by Virginia Haggard, Chagall’s second wife.
